1. Delivery Area and Scope
Furniture Box is a Melbourne-based wholesale office furniture supplier serving office furniture retailers, commercial buyers, fit-out companies and approved wholesale accounts throughout Victoria and interstate where practical.
Delivery services are available to customer stores, commercial premises and project sites. Not all delivery arrangements are automatic — each delivery is assessed based on the factors set out below.
2. Delivery to Customer Stores and Commercial Premises
Free delivery may be available to customer stores where practical, depending on order size, workload, delivery route and access. Delivery is offered at Furniture Box’s discretion and is not guaranteed for all orders.
Factors taken into account when assessing delivery availability include:
- Order size and value
- Current delivery workload and scheduling
- Delivery route and geographic proximity
- Site access conditions
Furniture Box will advise whether delivery is available and whether any fees apply at the time of order confirmation.
3. Small Orders
Small orders may not qualify for scheduled delivery. In these cases, Furniture Box may:
- Request customer pickup from our premises
- Include the order in a consolidated delivery where another order is going in the same direction
- Arrange delivery when scheduling and logistics permit
Customers are encouraged to confirm delivery arrangements before placing small orders.
4. Customer Responsibilities at Delivery
The customer (or an authorised representative) must be available at the delivery address during the agreed delivery window to receive and sign for goods.
Prior to delivery, the customer must ensure:
- The delivery address is accessible by the delivery vehicle
- Adequate parking or loading dock is available
- Someone is present to assist with unloading if required
- Any site-specific access requirements (stairs, lifts, security gates) are communicated in advance
Missed delivery, failed access or re-delivery may incur additional charges.
5. Missed Delivery and Re-delivery
If goods cannot be delivered due to the absence of an authorised recipient, inadequate site access or failure to disclose access requirements in advance, missed delivery, failed access or re-delivery may incur additional charges.
Customers must notify Furniture Box of any access restrictions, delivery windows or site conditions in advance of the scheduled delivery date.
6. Interstate and Regional Customers
Customers located outside Melbourne or in regional areas may arrange pickup from Furniture Box’s premises or coordinate their own freight arrangements.
Furniture Box can assist with coordinating freight for interstate or regional delivery by quotation. Freight costs for deliveries outside standard Melbourne metro areas are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.
7. Delivery and Installation to End-Customer Sites
Furniture Box can arrange delivery and installation to your customer’s site (end-user site or project location) by separate quotation.
Installation services are available for commercial office furniture projects and fit-out work and are quoted on a case-by-case basis. Installation fees depend on:
- Site address and location
- Access conditions (stairs, lifts, parking, loading dock)
- Scope of installation work required
- Number of items and complexity of assembly
- Site access restrictions or after-hours requirements

8. Site Access Requirements
The following site conditions must be confirmed prior to booking delivery or installation:
- Availability of parking or loading facilities
- Lift access for upper-floor deliveries
- Stairs or steps at the delivery address
- Any narrow passages, height restrictions or access limitations
- After-hours access requirements
- Site security or induction requirements
Failure to disclose site access requirements in advance may result in additional charges or inability to complete delivery.
